Batesville High School
Small Mixed Show Choir
Directors: Dan Borns & Clovis Hudnall
Batesville Singers has existed as a show choir at Batesville High School in Batesville, Indiana since the early 1970’s. This year’s edition of the auditioned choral ensemble includes 42 singers ranging in age from freshman to senior. Members of Batesville Singers perform regularly throughout the school year in the community and serve as ambassadors for the school. The group also performs concert choir repertoire, and recently represented the school at the ISSMA State Concert Finals. In addition, Singers earned the Best Vocals caption award at show choir competitions last year, and 16 members were selected as Indiana All State Honor Choir participants for 2026. Singers hosted an event to begin their season and will be competing at Plainfield, Center Grove, Franklin Central, Avon, New Palestine, and Lawrence Central. This season the group is getting together for an evening of board games, and gets swept into the games themselves. The choir will travel through Monopoly, Sorry, Clue, Battleship, and Chess, but – spoiler alert – they do find their way home by the end of ”Game Night.” Singers is in their 4th year under the direction of Dan Borns, is choreographed by Brooklyn Bruner, and Clovis Hudnall serves as an assistant director. Please welcome to the stage Batesville Singers!
